// Draw & Sight Pickup
My draw / first shot is slow
First shot regularly takes noticeably longer than your par, even when the rest of the string is fast.
Likely causes
- Hands start late or move in sequence instead of together.
- Fishing for the grip in the holster.
- Waiting for a perfect sight picture instead of an acceptable one at that distance.
Fixes & cues
- 01Both hands move on the beep — the support hand heads for the meeting point immediately.
- 02Strong hand drives into the full grip first touch; no adjusting.
- 03Start pressing the trigger as the gun reaches extension; the shot breaks as the sight picture becomes acceptable.
- 04Shave par time in 0.1 s steps only after ten clean reps in a row.
Drill path
Work top to bottom. Move on once you meet a drill's standard.

Can't find the dot or sights on the draw
The gun arrives but the dot isn't in the window (or the front sight isn't in the notch) — you hunt for it before the first shot.

I don't know where to look: sights or target?
Your eyes flick between the sights and the target, you chase the dot around the window, or your hits fall apart when the target gets smaller or farther.
