Lighter recoil springStep down 1–2 lb at a time; tune with your loadAll-steel guns often run soft minor loads well on lighter springs.
Spring kit with several weights—A/B testing on a single range day.

    Installation notes

    1. 01Unload, verify clear, field strip.
    2. 02Swap only the spring and run 50+ rounds per weight.
    3. 03Film the sights or dot and watch ejection pattern.
    4. 04Confirm slide lock on the last round.
  • Hammer / mainspringArmorer

    Reduced-power hammer spring

Double-action first shot is heavy and pulls shots; single action feels stiffer than you want.

    PartSpecWhy
Reduced-power hammer spring—Lightens the double-action pull significantly and the single-action pull slightly.
Aftermarket extended firing pin (optional)—Some builders pair one with very light hammer springs to keep ignition reliable.

    Installation notes

    1. 01Unload, verify clear. Remove the hammer spring plunger/housing per CZ's detail-strip sequence.
    2. 02Install the new spring, reassemble, and verify hammer function and decocking/safety function.
    3. 03Test ignition with a full box of match ammo, including your hardest primers.

Caution · Too light a hammer spring causes light strikes. Go back up one step before adding other parts.

Competition hammer and sear set—Precise engagement for a short, crisp break.
Polished or competition disconnector—Shorter, more positive reset.
Tuned sear spring—Sets reset feel and pull weight.

    Installation notes

    1. 01Have a qualified gunsmith fit parts and set engagement.
    2. 02Request a full safety check: firing pin block, half-cock/safety notch, manual safety or decocker, hammer follow.
    3. 03Verify pull weight with a gauge and live-fire test slowly before match use.

Caution · Sear, hammer and disconnector surfaces are safety-critical. Improper work can cause hammer follow, doubling, slam fires or a failed drop safety. Have a qualified gunsmith do the work and run a full safety function check before live fire.

Fresh extractor spring—Restores grip on the case rim.
Replacement extractor—A worn or chipped hook won't hold the case.

    Installation notes

    1. 01Drift out the extractor pin with a properly sized punch while supporting the slide.
    2. 02Clean carbon from under the hook and the spring pocket.
    3. 03Install the new spring/extractor, confirm free movement, and test-fire.
  • Magwell / gripDrop-in

    Magwell & grips

Reloads hang up on the bottom of the frame; thin grips leave little purchase.

    PartSpecWhy
Grip-panel-mounted magwell—Flares the mag opening without frame modification.
Textured aftermarket grip panels—Better purchase and a consistent grip index.

    Installation notes

    1. 01Remove the grip screws and panels; install magwell and panels together.
    2. 02Don't over-torque grip screws into the frame.
    3. 03Confirm magazines drop free and seat fully.

Caution · Check magwell and weight limits for your division.

    Installation notes

    1. 01Degrease threads; use the thread locker your optic maker specifies.
    2. 02Torque to the optic manufacturer's spec.
    3. 03Witness-mark screws and re-check after the first 200 rounds.
